Wath Shooting Victim Dies

A MAN who was shot in the chest on his own door step has lost his battle for survival, We Are Barnsley can reveal.
Tyrone Woodhead, 42, has been in hospital since he was shot in the upper body during the incident that happened on Doncaster Road on September 20.
South Yorkshire Police say Tyrone - who has been hailed a local hero - died in hospital yesterday afternoon (October 24.)
The investigation is now being treated as murder.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident after a man hunt in Thurnscoe and are remanded in custody.
Police say the charges they face are likely to be amended in the next few days.
Mr Woodhead risked his life in 2006, in an attempt to save a woman who was being attacked by her ex-partner.
He helped restrain the man until police arrived, but the woman later died.
