Gun-toting Robber Strikes Local Shop

A SHOP keeper was forced at gun point to empty the contents of his till during an armed robbery on Saturday.

Police were called to the shop on Tennyson Road, Monk Bretton at around 9.30pm on Saturday.

A man wearing a black balaclava pointed a hand gun at the shop assistant and demanded the contents of the till. He escaped with a drawer full of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

I am shocked that something like this could happen, I've never known it. The horror that the man must have been feeling and going through. I hope he gets caught.
