Should more be done to help young people and their mental health?

THERE have been a series of changes to the way mental health services for children and young people aged up to 18 are provided in the last few years.

There has been the introduction of a service called My Space, which costs £300,000 a year to operate and runs at the town’s ten secondary schools.

Despite this, Barnsley has 280 people aged under 18 waiting at least six months to get treatment for mental health problems.

Should more be done to help young people and their mental health?
