Barnsley Parks Voted Best In Country

THREE of Barnsley's parks have been voted as some of the best in the country.
Cannon Hall Park, Worsbrough Mill Country Park and Elsecar Park have been given the Green Flag Award, ranking them as among the best in the UK.
Elsecar Park has earned the status for the fifth year running, Cannon Hall Park for second year and Worsbrough Mill Country Park receives the flag for the first time.
Coun Linda Burgess said: “Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved for their hard work in achieving this, including staff, volunteers and friends groups. I would encourage the people of Barnsley to visit and enjoy these parks.”
