Man jailed following attempted burglary

A MAN has been jailed after being found in the garden of a property in Athersley.
Reece Coles, 23, of Radcliffe Road, was arrested on Monday August 6 after he was found in the early hours in the garden of a property on Derwent Crescent, Athersley.
He was found in dark clothing a mask and in possession of a crowbar and large screwdriver.
Coles was charged with attempted burglary and was remanded to Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 7 August, where he pleaded guilty to the offence.
He was subsequently jailed for 26 weeks.
