Friday August 3 2018

A MAN received a heavy fine after he was caught fly-tipping in Wombwell Woods.

Alexander Cunliffe of Cherrys Road, pleaded guilty to an offence under Section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 after being caught on CCTV fly tipping pigeon excrement in Wombwell Woods in May of this year.

Cunliffe initially visited a local household waste recycling centre where he was advised to bag up the waste so that it could be legally disposed of. Instead, he chose not to follow advice and dump the waste instead.
