CHARITY walkers who took part in Barnsley Hospice's Midnight Walk are being urged to hand in their sponsor money.
The event was delayed by almost a month due to the weather but most of the 1,200 women who had originally signed up to take part managed to complete the challenge.
Organiser Helen Macintosh said: “We appreciate the efforts women have made to help us make it a success despite the initial setback.
“The weather was perfect for the event in the end, especially as it was on a Hawaiian theme and women were dressed up in grass skirts, leis and coconut bras. It was a fantastic night.“
”It is hoped that proceeds can top the £100,000 raised by the event last year."
Money goes to the running of the hospice, at Gawber, which cares for anyone in Barnsley who has a life-threatening illness.
