INSPECTORS have removed a Thurnscoe School from special measures after a two-day inspection.
Gooseacre Primary was rated as ‘good’ by OFSTED inspectors who praised the ,achievement of pupils, quality of teaching and the behaviour and safety of pupils.
Gooseacre Primary has 267 pupils aged three to 11.
The inspector noted significant improvements in the quality and consistency of teaching, since last September, which has led to better results.
Headteacher Sarah Creighton said: “I am delighted for the whole of the school community that Gooseacre has been removed from special measures. It reflects the hard work of everyone associated with the school in ensuring the children who attend Gooseacre School are provided with the best educational opportunities.”
