POLICE were called to a secondary school yesterday after an incident involving a student from another school who had to be restrained and removed by staff.
The teen entered Kirk Balk Academy on West Street, Hoyland, yesterday morning. Principal Dean Buckley confirmed that a student who does not attend Kirk Balk entered the academy without permission and had to be removed.
“Staff dealt with the situation promptly and no student or staff member at Kirk Balk was harmed in the process,” he said.
“I would like to reassure all parents and students that the safeguarding of all the children in our care is our main priority.”
