AN open-top bus parade through the town centre will take place next week following Barnsley FC's promotion to the Championship.
On Wednesday at 6.30pm, the bus will leave Oakwell before travelling along Pontefract Road, Schwäbisch Gmünd Way, Eldon Street and Market Hill before arriving at Barnsley town hall.
Players and Head Coach Daniel Stendel will be welcomed into the town hall by the Mayor of Barnsley, Coun Steve Green, before they take to the balcony.
Barnsley fans are encouraged to help paint the town a sea of red by bringing flags, banners and wearing their team colours.
Coun Steve Green, said: “We’re over the moon that the Super Reds have secured promotion to the Championship – it has been a fantastic season and the players and Head Coach have been terrific.
“We hope that there will be a sea of supporters in the town centre on Wednesday to show the Tykes how proud Barnsley is of them.”
