ELSECAR Heritage Railway is looking for volunteers to assist as passengers on one of their trains during an emergency training exercise.
The aim of the exercise is to test the railway’s emergency plan and initial response to incidents and emergencies.
Volunteers will be working with South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue’s fire crew as part of this exercise who will be dealing with the emergency response to the incident such as assisting evacuating the train.
Anyone is welcome to assist with the training exercise of all ages and needs.
Anyone wanting to take part can contact the safety manager who will send across relevant details of the training exercise and answer any questions.
The exercise will take place on Thursday May 23 and starts at 9.30am.
