A BONFIRE caused damage to the outside of a house after it got out of control.
Firefighters from Cudworth were called to a house on Varney Road, Wath-upon-Dearne, just after 10.30pm last night after a bonfire had got out of control.
Upon arrival, the crew found that a small bonfire in a burner had spread to other flammable items closeby and, subsequently, the outside of the house.
Approximately 6 metres of facias and guttering were damaged – as well as one fence panel and one double glazed window unit.
Firefighters left the scene at 11.40pm after putting out the fire.
