POLICE in Barnsley would like to identify and speak to the man pictured in connection to a theft at Shell Wentworth Park, Maple Road, Pilley.


It is believed on Saturday, 30 July, at around 10.30am, the man - who drove a black VW Golf - entered the service station and placed approximately £76 worth of diesel in his vehicle.


It is thought the man placed a small amount of change on the counter and said he had left his credit card in the car and was going back for it. He then drove off without paying.


The man is thought to be a white male, in his mid 20’s with short cut dark hair and of a stocky build.


It is believed at the time of the incident, the male was wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey jogging bottoms.


Police would like to speak to anyone who may recognise the male who appears in the CCTV images.
