A NEW group is launching in Barnsley supporting people affected by blood cancer.
The Barnsley Haematology Support Group has been set up by Leukaemia Care, a national charity providing advice and support to anybody who has been affected by blood cancer.
Family members and friends are also welcome to attend, and the first meeting will be on Wednesday November 28 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at Darfield Community Centre.
Nickey Bate from Leukaemia Care said: “This new support group is a great opportunity for patients and their loved ones to meet others in a similar situation.
“We’re looking forward to the ongoing development of the Barnsley support group.”
