A GROUND investigation will be taking place at Penny Pie Park next month.
The ground investigation works will be carried out on November 5, 6 and 7 November by Abbeydale Building Environment Consultants, to assess the ground conditions at the park as part of the proposed gyratory system.
Specialist equipment will be used to install monitoring pipes and will make a number of pits and bore holes into the ground.
The findings will also answer enquiries raised by local councillors and the public.
The park will still be open to the public during this time, although the investigation areas will be cordoned off for safety.
The investigation sites will be restored once complete, and the contractor will return to site the following week to top up any areas that may have settled.
