OFFICERS ar appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery at a supermarket.

At around 2.15pm on Wednesday October 10, it was reported that a man approached a cash-in-transit driver at Royston Asda and told the driver to drop the box.

The suspect fell over as he approached the driver, and then ran away onto Gallway Close and into a nearby housing estate. A second man, who had been waiting nearby, also ran off with the first suspect.

The first suspect is described as being white, approximately 6ft and of stocky build. He is not believed to be older than 30.

He was wearing a dark baseball cap and a black wind-breaker jacket, with red stripes down the arms, and a large collar pulled up over his face. It is also believed he was wearing dark bottoms and dark trainers.

The second suspect is described as being white, approximately 5ft 10ins and smaller in build. He was also wearing all dark clothing with his face covered.
