POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Royston in which two people were injured.

At around 8pm on Thursday August 30, police received reports a grey BMW 320D with the registration CK55 SVW, had failed to stop after colliding with two pedestrians on Midland Road, around 15 metres after the junction with The Lane.

The pedestrians, a 33-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man, sustained serious injuries. It is believed the occupants of the car had been involved in an argument with the pedestrians prior to the collision.

Police in Barnsley have been making enquiries into the incident and are now appealing for information and witnesses. Did you see this car? Were you in the area at the time?
