A KARAOKE event is taking place at May Day Green to raise money for charity.
From 10am to 2.30pm, the market in May Day Green will be your stage to entertain traders and public alike. The fundraising event is in support of the Mayor’s Charities, Barnsley Hospice and Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support.
Singers pay a small fee to enter, first prize is £100 and there are two prizes of £50.
The Mayor will also be attending and there is no limit to how many times you can enter.
Coun Wayne Johnson said: “Come along and support the Fundraiser. You may even catch the Mayor doing his party piece!”
