IF you're thinking about ways to boost your skills and you're aged between 16 and 25, this might be for you...

Fire and police in South Yorkshire have teamed up to deliver the Prince’s Trust programme to be jointly run by both 999 services.

The two emergency services are calling on young people to sign up for the Prince’s Trust Team Programme, with the Barnsley programme starting on Monday.

The Team Programme is a 12 week personal development course for unemployed 16 to 25 year olds, offering work experience, qualifications, practical skills, community projects and a residential week.

Individuals will gain new skills and qualifications, mix with new people and make new friends, get help with job-hunting and CV writing and most importantly a big boost to their confidence and a real sense of achievement.
