A MAN has been charged with assisting an offender after a woman was found dead in her home in May.
Jill Hibberd, 73, was found dead at her home on Roy Kilner Road, Wombwell on the morning of Thursday May 31.
She is thought to have died the previous evening and a post-mortem examination concluded she died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
Andrew Ashby, 22, of Woolgreaves Avenue, Wakefield was charged on Tuesday with assisting an offender in connection to her death.
He is now on bail to appear before Barnsley Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 12 September.
Lee Trevor Fueloep, 40, of Willow Garth, Wombwell, was charged with murder and burglary in June and is remanded until his next court appearance.
