TWO school children have dedicated their time over the summer break to clear out a pond which had become full of rubbish.

Willow Barr, eight and her brother Parker have spent three days over last two weeks clearing out the pond at Cross Street Park, Monk Bretton.

They decided to clear it along with their grandmother Nancy Wainwright, who lives on the street and their mother Eleanor-Rose.

Eleanor Rose said: "They don't like the fact that people litter and they have enjoyed clearing out the pond. We just hope it stays clean!"
