AN 18-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after robbing two people.

Dawson Allott, 18, of no-fixed-address was arrested after we was identified in two street robberies.

On Monday August 6, at around 4.20am, a man was the victim of a street robbery in Peel Square.

Two men spoke to the victim before threatening to stab him. They then reportedly took him to a cashpoint where £200 was taken. The man was not injured.

On Saturday August 11, at around 3.20am, a further street robbery was reported, also in Peel Square.

The victim had been using a cashpoint when he was approached by a man who grabbed him, threatening him before taking his wallet, which was later dropped after reportedly being disturbed by a member of the public.

Dawson was charged with robbery and remanded to court.
