A BIRDS eye view of one of the country's biggest stately homes will be broadcast today.

Wentworth Woodhouse will be the star of Sunday night's Channel 4 show Hidden Britain by drone.

Sir Tony Robinson will be using the latest ariel filming technology to show viewers stunning new aspects of the 18th century house, which is currently being restored by the Wentworth Woodhouse Perservation Trust.

Episode one, which will air at 8pm will see drones sour above Wentworth Woodhouse's historic hidden treasure and its grounds and give detailled ariel views of the house which was created between 1725 and 1750.

Sarah McLeod, CEO of Wentworth Woodhouse Perservation Trust said: "The drones give us an incredible insight - a real bird's eye view."
