A NEW state of the art gym has opened in Hoyland following a refurbishment.
Hoyland Leisure Centre has undergone an extensive refurbishment includes new studios, a large extension to the gym and the installation of new Technogym strength and conditioning fitness equipment.
The new studio features a cycling space with 30 bikes and an additional virtual cycling experience, ‘The Trip’, which is said to be the best immersive experience in the world, provided by the world famous Les Mills brand.
A Wellness App has also been installed, providing a virtual experience with lighting effects.
BPL invested almost £600,000 in the project and construction took approximately six months to complete.
Jon McCool, Facility Manager said: "The new areas look amazing and all the hard work and efforts from staff and building contractors has been well worth it, we are delighted with the results.’’
