A CASHPOINT was blown off a wall during a robbery in Mapplewell.
At around 1.10am yesterday morning, police received reports that an ATM had been damaged at the Co-Op store on Blacker Road.
The offenders, thought to have been travelling in a Black BMW 1 Series, are believed to have used Stihl saws and gas canisters to gain access to the machine.
Detective Sergeant Mark Hallam, investigating, said: “Some residents in the area have reported hearing a loud bang in the early hours of yesterday morning, which will have been the removal of the machine.
“Enquiries are now ongoing to identify those involved and I’d like to ask anyone with information that could assist with our enquiries to please come forward.
