SESSIONS to help people quit smoking are being launched in Barnsley next week.
The North East Area Team have set up the initiative to support local residents' health and wellbeing.
A dedicated Stop Smoking specialist Sarah Sverdloff, will provide targeted help through stop smoking clinics and advice sessions in the community.
The free service will be available to residents who live and work in Brierley, Carlton, Cudworth, Great Houghton, Grimethorpe, Lundwood, Monk Bretton, Shafton, Smithies, and Royston.
The sessions begin on Monday July 16 at the Acorn Centre, Grimethorpe Library from 1pm to 4.30pm.
Further sessions are available:
Tuesday at Grimethorpe Family Centre, 9am to 12pm and then Royston Library, 1pm to 5pm.
Wednesday Royston Group Practice, 1pm to 4pm.
Thursday Cudworth Centre, 1pm to 5pm
Friday Lundwood Family Centre, 2pm to 4pm
