TWO men were arrested on Thursday after an altercation at a house led to a 16-year-old boy being injured.

The men, aged 19 and 25 were arrested on Thursday evening on suspicion of wounding with intent on Welland Crescent in Elsecar.

Just after 6.30pm officers were called to reports a 16-year-old boy had been injured following an altercation at property on Welland Crescent.

The 16-year-old was found with suspected stab wounds and taken to hospital to receive treatment.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 870 of June 28.
