ON MONDAY July 9, Barnsley launches the start of Safeguarding Awareness Week.
The event will launch event at Barnsley College and the voices of Barnsley’s adults and children will be a real focus of the event.
Coun Margaret Bruff said: “Barnsley Council, alongside partner agencies and fellow professionals, works hard to safeguard adults and children 52 weeks a year.
"Safeguarding Awareness Week gives us all an opportunity to let people know what we do and how residents, businesses and our partners can address any concerns or issues early on to prevent them escalating, by reporting any concerns they may have about the welfare of children and adults.”
