A RAINBOW of ribbons to remember lost loved ones has been launched by Barnsley’s new Mayor at the Town Hall.
Coun Steve Green, who became Mayor in May, attached the first dedication in Barnsley Hospice’s annual fundraising initiative, which invites people to dedicate a ribbon for loved ones throughout June and July.
The Mayor was joined by Barnsley Hospice patron Jean Thompson-Banks and fundraising manager Sam Silverwood at the Rainbow of Ribbons launch on June 1.
The ribbons have been donated by Oakwell Flower Corner and they will be on display at the Town Hall and at the Hospice grounds in Gawber until the end of July.
