BARNSLEY Council have launched a webpage full of events and useful links for support workers and carers for people with Dementia.
The page was launched as part of Dementia Action Week, where people are urged to have greater understanding of the disease and find out practical ways you can help sufferers.
The page is Barnsley specific and includes a calendar of events to support people and carers and list of information about dementia services and dementia. Within three clicks, anyone can access information about what’s going on in Barnsley.
The page is sponsored by the charity supported by Coun Linda Burgess.
Coun Margaret Bruff, Cabinet Spokesperson for People (Safeguarding) said: "This is a great resource for Barnsley residents who have Dementia, as well as their carers.
"We hope that the multi-agency approach will bring together the wide range of services and support we have throughout the borough.”
