BARNSLEY'S best music acts will take to the stage and perform live for the Tour de Yorkshire crowds on May 4 with the first ever ‘In Gear Live’ music festival.
The conveniently named music extravaganza will see a variety of artists perform sets on the main stage in Mandela Gardens and other popular venues across the town centre to celebrate the start of the second stage of the prestigious race in Barnsley.
A programme of entertainment will also take place, hosted by Dearne FM while venues such as 00Bar, The Garrison, Annie Murray’s, Soul Lounge, White Bear and Old No 7 will have artists performing between 2.30pm-8pm.
In Gear Live has been put together with the help of the organisers of Barnsley Live; One Over the Eight.
Chris Scarfe of One Over the Eight, said: “The Tour de Yorkshire is a massive event which will give some of Barnsley’s best music talent the opportunity to perform in front of some big crowds.
"We’ve got all sorts of genres lined up so there really is something for everyone. It’s a going to be a fantastic day and we’re delighted to be involved in such a prestigious occasion.”
