YORKSHIRE and Humber's NHS 111 are reminding patients to order and collect repeat prescriptions in time for Easter

Many chemists and doctors surgeires will be closed during the bank holiday weekend and the majority of calls made to NHS 111 are normally from people who have run out of their regular medication.

Missing out on daily medication could have serious consequences.

A spokesperson from the department said: "Easter is a busy bank holiday period for everyone. We are taking this opportunity to remind people to check that they have enough medication to see them through."
