POLICE are searching for the driver of a van who they believe could hold important information into a fatal crash in Sheffield Road last year.
Officer say they're keen to trace a white van, possibly a Mercedes Sprinter, that was in the area at the time of the collision on Wednesday, November 15 at around 4.25pm.
The crash - involving a black Land Rover Freelander and a black and grey Moto Guzzi motorbike - happened close to the junction with Knowle Road.
Clive Burdett, 49, from Doncaster, who was riding the motorbike, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
PC Richard Thorley, investigating, said: “The van was seen at the junction of Upper Sheffield Road and Knowle Road, having turned left from Upper Sheffield Road into Knowle Road, as the Landrover began to pull out of the junction.
“We think the driver of the van could have information that could assist with our enquiries."
