ANTISOCIAL behaviour in Barnsley has dropped by a fifth, councillors have been told.
Paul Brannan, head of the council’s Safer Neighbourhood Services, told a meeting of the overview and scrutiny committee that Barnsley had seen a 21 per cent reduction in antisocial behaviour when comparing figures from 2016 to 2017.
He said there had been a ‘significant decrease’ in the town centre, and that for Barnsley overall reports have fallen from about 10,000 to 8,000.
