THE swimming pools at the Metrodome will close for around four weeks for exciting refurb and improvement works, including the building of a new pool.

The new 20m teaching pool will be created alongside the competition pool, leaving the current toddler pool to be converted into an interactive parent and toddler zone.

New beach-style flooring will be laid around the wave pool and the changing rooms will be refurbished with an ‘all family’ changing area replacing the existing male and female areas.

The wet side will be closed from February 26 reopening on March 24, but the rest of the complex will remain open as usual.

The Metrodome Bowling alley is set to reopen tomorrow following a refurb (Saturday, February 3).
