POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Athersley where three men broke into a house.
The incident happened just after midnight on January 21, when the men - who had their faces covered - broke ino the house on Laithes Lane before leaving empty handed after being disturbed by the occupants.
One of the suspects is said to have been carrying what police describe "homemade implement."
No one was injured in the incident although the occupants were left shaken and upset.
The men are all described as white, with one wearing a distinctive matching burgundy tracksuit and white trainers.
Another man is said to have been wearing a black puffer coat, blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.
The third man is described as wearing blue trainers, a back Adidas tracksuit top and grey jogging bottoms.
