POLICE have arrested a 12-year-old boy in connection with an arson attack at a Barnsley supermarket.
Emergency services were called around 4.15pm yesterday to reports a storage cage at the back of the Spar store in Penistone had been set alight
No one was hurt in the incident, however extensive damage was caused to the roof of the store.
Officers have since arrested a 12-year-old boy on suspicion of arson endangering life.
Any witnesses or anyone who has any information that may be able to help police are asked to report it via 101 quoting incident number 660 of January 29.
