POLICE have issued a renewed appeal for witnesses after 17-year-old boy died on Christmas Eve following a crash.
The incident happened around 8.20pm on Saturday December 23, when a dark-coloured Dacia Compass and a bicycle were involved in a collision in Shaw Lane, Carlton, just before the railway bridge.
The 17-year-old boy riding the bike suffered life-threatening injuries and died in hospital on Christmas Eve.
Police want to speak to anyone who may have driven past the boy on his bike, or the car, prior to the collision.
The rider of the bike was wearing blue tracksuit bottoms, a blue hooded top and a hat/gloves.
