POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an elderly couple were robbed in their Royston home by two men - one of whom was wielding a metal bar.
The incident happened between 6.30pm and 7.30pm last Saturday (January 13) when the two suspects - who had their faces covered - broke into the couple's property in Lane Cottages.
One of the suspects is reported to have held one of the occupants while the other suspect searched the property.
The pair then fled the scene empty-handed.
The suspects are believed to be male and one of them is believed to have been carrying a metal bar.
The occupants - both in their 70s - were not injured, but have been left shaken and upset by the incident.
