A LOCAL personal trainer has been shortlisted as a finalist in one of the fitness industry's biggest award schemes.

Victoria Hudson - who owns and works at BarBelles and Ponytails at Mount Osbourne Business Centre - has been shortlisted in the Gym Based Personal Trainer of the Year category at the National Fitness Awards.

Organised by Barnsley based Script Events in association with industry magazine Workout, the awards recognise excellence and achievement in the health and fitness industry.

Victoria will now be visited by a member of the Workout team who will conduct a comprehensive report on her abilities as a personal trainer, before it is passed on to an expert judging panel.

Victoria told WAB: "I'm overwhelmed with the support I've had at being nominated and shortlisted as personal trainer of the year.

"I'm hoping that I inspire other women out there to be successful and career driven to achieving anything they set their mind to."

The winners will be announced at a glitzy awards ceremony at The Athena in Leicester on December 1.
