POLICE have confirmed that a body was found in Hoyland this morning.
Emergency services were called to Greenfield Road just after 5.05am following the discovery of the body of a man.
The man, who is in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Greenfield Road is currently closed, and is expected to remain closed for some time as officers carry out enquiries in the area.
A police spokeswoman said: "At this time, the man’s death is being treated as unexplained and officers remain in the area as they ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding his death."
