STRIKE action by Northern Rail will cause significant disruption to train services to and from Barnsley from tomorrow until Tuesday.
The majority of services will run as normal through the day - but will start to wind down in the late afternoon/early evening.
The last train from Barnsley to Huddersfield on Saturday will run at 17.53.
The last train from Huddersfield back to Barnsley will run at 16.59.
Services to Leeds, Sheffield and back will run as normal.
On Sunday, the last train from Sheffield to Barnsley will run at 17.17, calling at Meadowhall at 17.23. This will be the fast train that runs directly to Barnsley.
The last slow train, that calls at Chapeltown, Elsecar and Wombwell, will run at 15.39 from Sheffield, and 15.45 from Meadowhall.
In the opposite direction on Sunday, the last train running from Barnsley directly to Meadowhall and Sheffield will run at 16.41. The last slow train will run at 16.12.
The last train running from Barnsley to Leeds on Sunday will run at 17.37. The last train from Leeds back to Barnsley will run at 16.05.
The last train running from Barnsley to Huddersfield on Sunday will be at 16.05. The last train running from Huddersfield to Barnsley will be at 15.19.
On Monday disruption will continue.
The last train from Barnsley to Huddersfield will be at 17.59, while the last train in the opposite direction will be at 16.59.
From Sheffield back to Barnsley, the last fast train will depart at 17.50, while the last slow train will depart at 17.25.
From Barnsley to Sheffield, the last train will leave at 18.40. This will be the fast service - the last slow train will leave Barnsley at 18.02.
From Leeds to Barnsley, the last train will depart at 18.06. From Barnsley to Leeds, the last train will leave at 18.13.
Services will return to normal on Tuesday.
