LOCALS are being urged to show they love where they live by taking part in volunteering month in June.
The annual event, led by Love Where You Live Barnsley, will tie in with national volunteers’ week and give people the opportunity to get out in their community taking part in a range of events.
Volunteering opportunities are set to include older people health activities, street cleans, and allotment planting events.
Last year 1,400 volunteers got involved giving 4,285 hours of their time.
