TWO Barnsley men have been charged with burglary offences after a police crackdown which also saw four others arrested.

Five men and one woman were arrested after the operation aimed at tackling and preventing burglaries.

Out of those arrested, two men have been charged and will appear in court next month.

A 42-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary in relation to an incident at a house in Tivy Dale, Cawthorne on March 20.

The man has been remanded into custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday 25 April.

A 46-year-old man has been charged with two counts of burglary, possession of a knife/blade and going equipped for burglary in relation to an incident in Victoria Street on March 23.

He has been remanded into custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on April 21.
