SIX Barnsley men have been charged with public order offences following crowd trouble at the game between Barnsley and Leeds at Oakwell last month.
On Wednesday (February 15) John Hall, 49, of Kingsway, Wombwell, pleaded guilty to a Section 4 public order offence and was handed a football banning order, meaning he won't be able to attend any home or away match for three years.
It also prevents him being within one mile of the town centre and football stadium, home or away, for four hours before kick-off and six hours after the match has finished.
The five other men charged are Scot Wogan, 30, of Raven Royd, Athersley North, Andrew Glentworth, 50, of Lundhill Road, Wombwell, Chris Green, 43, of High Street, Thurnscoe, Brett Wogan, 25, of Lang Avenue, Lundwood and Tommy Lee Blessed, 20, of Gaitskell Close, Goldthorpe.
Two other men have been arrested on suspicion of affray, and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
