A 15-year-old boy has been charged with a Public Order Offence after he allegedly verbally abused staff and customers in a town centre cafe.

Officers from Barnsley's Town Centre Policing Team have charged the teen with a Section 5 Public Order Offence following the incident on October 25, when a group of teenagers were asked to leave a cafe in Barnsley Interchange, which led to them allegedly becoming verbally abusive towards staff and customers.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear before Barnsley Youth Court on Tuesday 22 November.
