THE ALHAMBRA has announced the details of its Christmas light switch on and late night shopping.

The centre will be lighting up for Christmas on November 16 between 5-7pm, on the lower level outside of Iceland.

The Alhambra's impressive line-up this year includes hero pups, and brings a battle against the imperialist forces as live lightsaber training takes place on stage.

Winners of the Dearne FM School Choir competition will also be performing and visitors will have the chance to bag lots of exciting prizes as free giveaways run throughout the event.

Finally, Santa will be joining the Alhambra team on stage handing out goodies, before concluding the event by switching on the lights - which are brand new for this year.

Steph Higham, Alhambra Marketing Manager said: “Christmas is an exciting time at the Alhambra and our light switch on will get everyone into the festive spirit. We have a great selection of entertainment on offer including Santa to switch on our brand new decorations.”

The event marks the start of a range of Christmas activities, including late night shopping, taking place every Wednesday and Friday from Wednesday, November 23 until 8pm. There will also be a Santa’s grotto where children can write a letter to Santa and in return receive a virtual reply.

There will also be a 4D Sleigh experience for customers to enjoy.
