A LOCAL woman is organising a gift collection for children and nurses who will be in hospital this Christmas.
Charlotte Markham came up with the idea along with her friend Becca Hanson.
Charlotte said: "I want to start a gift donation for children that sadly have to spend their Christmas in hospital, and also for the nurses who work and have to leave their own children.
"I am hoping with the power of us Barnsley folk we can get loads of donations, no matter how big or small.
"I know that we all struggling at Christmas - but the gifts would put a smile on the kids' faces, and the nurses' too."
