POLICE have organised a series of events that will give locals a chance to speak with officers about concerns they have about Barnsley.

As part of the events there will be community surgeries held in Kendray, to provide information to the public and give residents the opportunity to speak directly with officers.

On Wednesday October 12, a police stall will be placed at Lavender Court from 12pm to 8pm, and a community support group will take place from 6pm to 7pm at St Andrews church, Gerald Road.

Officers will also be present after the meeting to speak with residents and answer questions.

Events will also take place in Barnsley town centre on Wednesday October 12. Officers will be present from 10am to 3pm at Barnsley Interchange, from 12pm to 4pm at Better Barnsley shop, Cheapside, and from 10am to 2pm on the engagement bus outside Sports Direct.
