POLICE have told locals to be on the lookout for supcious activity after receiving several reports of a man approaching teenage girls in his car.

Last Wednesday (July 13) police received three separate reports of possible suspicious activity around Jump and Hoyland.

Between around 3.30pm and 7pm, an unknown man driving a red car is believed to have approached several different teenage girls and asked for directions.

The man is also alleged to have made an inappropriate comment towards one of the girls as he was driving away, which caused some distress.

The man is described as being white, in his 30s and was wearing distinctive dark rimmed glasses. The make and model of the car is unknown.

Local schools have been notified and are advising students to be wary.
